Hi, friends!

We invite you to discover the joy of Thai massage! We (Sarah and Sonia) have been teaching together for 15 years, and love spreading this uniquely healing and playful practice. We look forward to sharing our passion with you.

WHAT IS THAI MASSAGE?

Thai massage is a bodywork modality with an ancient spiritual tradition that combines meditation, yoga, and the practice of unconditional loving kindness.

In Thai Massage, we don’t aim to heal; we aim to help others believe they can and will heal. Through our ability to listen to ourselves and each other, and to touch with softness, precision, and gentle curiosity, we restore the flow of energy in the body, and create a space where healing unfolds .

WHAT WILL THE WORKSHOP BE LIKE?

We will guide you to alternate giving and receiving 20-45 minute sequences. Some sequences will be led and some will be taught "workshop style," where you watch a demo and then practice at your own pace.

We'll touch on the whole body -- using hands , feet , knees , forearms, even the sit bones as massage and listeningtools.

We will practice static and dynamic techniques, simple pouring of weight and more playful movements, using the fundamental principles of Thai Massage.

We’ll practice outside under the trees to celebrate fall . [If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll move the workshop inside to a location in Hollywood or Culver City.]

INSPIRATION/THEME FOR WORKSHOP

We draw inspiration from Chinese Medicine's 5 Element Theory, and integrate this seasonal holistic wisdom into our Thai massage meditation by sending our attention to the meridians (energy lines) in the body that correlate with this season. Physically we will focus primarily on dispelling tension from the hands, arms, chest, shoulders, neck, head, and diaphragm.

Join us in this practice to feel centered and connected .
